The 4 biggest positive changes I’ve experienced since I’ve learned to love my body

It’s been almost 6 years since I started my body love journey. When I had a hysterectomy in 2017 I got what felt like a divine message that said, “You’ve hated your body for long enough, now it’s time to start loving your body.” Since then I have learned a lot about body love and my attitude toward my body has changed immensely.

These are the positive ways my life has changed since I started learning to love my body:

  • My confidence has grown

  • I enjoy exercise and food again

  • I have so much more brain space

  • So much more energy

Why I created a body love affirmations audio (and you can download it for free)

People who have a lot of health issues tend to be the most underprivileged in our community. They are unable to support their bodies with healthy behaviours because they are too busy just trying to make ends meet. So it’s important to me to offer free options for people who might find this page.

I created a body love affirmations audio because I love meditation and know how well it works to help support people’s health. But I also realise that meditation is really difficult for lots of people. This audio is a little less confronting for people who find meditation hard.

Finally, I created this audio for those of us who grew up with a lot of negative body image messages so that we can try to reprogram how we think about bodies.

Why I’ve changed my health coaching to make it more accessible

I haven’t been doing much one on one coaching sessions since 2020 for a variety of reasons, but recently I found a new/old place to start seeing clients in person again. This allows for a private space to conduct health coaching sessions and I am excited to be able to offer face to face sessions again.

Health coaching is all about helping clients get back into healthy behaviours - eating well, moving their bodies, stress management and the like. We all know what we SHOULD be doing, but sometimes it’s hard to stay on track. That’s where I come in.

Also, a lot of people have been on restrictive diets and exercise plans in the past and feel burnt out in relation to “health”. I promise to help people with their health without weigh-ins or measurements. It’s a non-diet approach.

I now offer one off sessions rather than insisting you sign up for a package. My sessions are $75 for 45 minutes.

Meditation is the best body love practice and here’s why

In my opinion, meditation is the best body loving practice.

On a physical level, it helps with lowering blood pressure, boosting immunity and helping people cope with pain.

On an emotional level, it helps with managing stress. Plus, it helps us to respond to things rather than reacting to things which makes us feel better about ourselves.

If you have just 5 minutes for yourself each day, then I recommend Meditation!
