How I started exercising again after a 4.5 year break (and how you can too)

Okay, I'll fess up, even as a personal trainer, I took a 4.5 year break from regular exercise and I only started again last year.

Yes, I did teach yoga and boxing classes but it's like a chef who cooks for everyone at the restaurant but never gets a chance to cook for herself.

But I've now been exercising again on my terms for the last 8 months and it feels great! I'm more confident, more energetic and happier than I've been in years and I know my regular exercise routine has a lot to do with that.

In this video I talk you through my experience with exercise - from doing none in my 20's to getting a bit obsessed in my 30's and early 40's and why I took a break for 4.5 years after having a hysterectomy. I share this so you might relate, and not feel so alone when it comes to your own exercise journey.

Then, I'll share the 3 things I did to make sure my regular exercise routine stuck and how you can do this for yourself. Please remember that besides (maybe) changing your body shape, exercise is so important for your mental health, functional benefits and helping you to prevent or minimise chronic illness.

I hope this video inspires you to start your exercise journey again, or keep going!
