My daily* habits and why they work (*I do them most days)

I am a firm believer that it’s what we do most days that counts rather than what we do sometimes.  Which is why I love creating daily rituals.  When we add in a few small self-care habits to our daily routine they start to add up over time to create huge, positive changes in our lives.

But here’s the thing, if we do these self-care rituals most days, it doesn’t matter if we miss a day or two here and there because we are getting the benefits from all the other days we’ve done them.  PLUS, we’ve probably built up self-esteem over time from doing the daily habits so we won’t beat ourselves up for missing a day or two.

Over time I have added 7 daily rituals into my day and I’ve taken out 4 things I used to do daily that really didn’t make me feel good.

This concept is called crowding out.  Adding in more and more positive, healthy, stuff into your life so that there is less and less room for the negative, unhealthy stuff.

Over time I have taken out

  • Alcohol

  • Going to the gym (but I still move my body)

  • Weighing myself

  • Expecting myself to do anything on a daily basis

And I’ve added in

  • Meditation

  • Gratitude journaling

  • Affirmations

  • Pulling a tarot card

  • Moving my body

  • Smoothie

  • Planning

Watch this week’s video to learn more about my habits.

I know it sounds like a lot but besides moving my body, it all takes about 20 minutes a day.  And I’ve added each thing in one at a time over months and even years  rather than starting them all at one..

These practices make me feel more confident, less anxious, more energised and my doc says I’m very healthy too!

I’d love to help you feel the same.  I have decided to open up spots in my calendar for my 6-month one on one health coaching program.

If you’re tired of feeling exhausted, depleted, and lacklustre — and you’re ready to make your health and happiness a priority once and for all — Love Yourself to Health is for you!

You’ve probably tried the “hate yourself to health” approach – diets, punishing exercise, telling yourself you’re fat and lazy – in this program I teach you how to crowd out what’s not supporting your health and choose to treat your body with love.

I’ll work with you one-on-one to create a customized game plan that will get you back on track before the end of this year. Get ready to eat well, feel fabulous and love yourself to health!
